Fredericksburg Regional Preservation Trust This corporation is organized for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including:

a. Encouragement of responsible stewardship of historic resources;

b. Education of historic resource owners on responsible stewardship;

c. Encouragement of research, documentation and knowledge sharing of historic resources;

d. Promotion of the Fredericksburg Region’s quality of life
As a Regional organization, we welcome members from all local areas. Please contact us about memberships and participating in organizational activities.
  • An advisory task force has been established to continue offering City Staff & Council assistance with Idlewild Mansion.

  • We are researching the Barlow-Tolson House in Stafford County, in the Austin Ridge Subdivision. An advocacy group is forming now.

  • We have finished researching and documenting the "Tunnels" of Fredericksburg. We are still looking for anyone with information or experiences with the tunnels. A hike/tour of suspected locations was rained out, but will be rescheduled soon!

  • We are currently working to identify other endangered historical sites in our region.

  • JumpStart! has concluded its proactive plan for Downtown Fredericksburg & its surrounding areas! Be sure to encourage your council person to vote for its inclusion in the Comprehensive Plan!
